Otomi Charm

Balancing old-world charm, Spanish-style architecture, and fun, yet traditional, Otomi prints was the winning trifecta of to-dos for Ceci Johnson and her team for Ceci Bride Xochitl's Invitations. Creating separate moments like hand-drawn Otomi icons on the invitation and iron-work inspired detailing on the laser-cut sleeve were key in representing these facets of Xochitl's inspiration. Tying it all together was the consistent color palette of charcoal gray, blush and true pink - an unexpected and refreshing palette for a Mexican wedding!

DESIGN DETAILS: Ceci Couture wedding invitation suite custom printed with 2 colors of letterpress and foil stamping on thick pearl white paper stock. Adding dimension and depth is the laser-cut sleeve featuring iron-work inspired details in bold cuts and patterns.  The charcoal shimmer mailing envelopes were custom converted for that special statement. And the couple's guests were addressed with blush hand calligraphy. The rest of the suite details including the 2-panel reply set to hold additional weekend details were letterpress printed on thick pearl white paper stock.

The theme and design details were carried throughout Ceci Bride Xochitl's wedding with laser-cut escort cards featuring hand calligraphed guest names, letterpress printed cocktail coasters and stir sticks as well as 2 color printed letterpress menus with the Otomi illustrations toping the courses to be served.
