Fresh off the holidays, engagement season is in full swing. For all of you newly engaged lovebirds, I want to offer a little education on one of the most quintessential nuptial elements: lace. While it will always be associated with weddings and will most likely make an appearance in your big day, embracing this timeless style doesn’t mean you have to do it the way your grandmother did. This typically traditional look has been popping up in many modern and edgy designs and is a glam detail that’s here to stay. For me, my Oscar de la Renta wedding dress was my lace moment (and one I’m still obsessed with – I wish I could wear it every day!).

If you’re thinking about how to incorporate lace into your big day (or into your everyday style), then look no further than this week’s Get the Look as well as my Creative Tips featuring a roundup of recent Ceci New York invitations. The combination of laser cutting and printed lace artwork, like in #CeciBride Rafaela's designs, balances the classic with a bit of avant-garde. And for real wedding inspiration, #CeciBride Danielle’s details, from her Bridal Styles headpiece to the lace detailing on the sleeves of her own Oscar de la Renta gown, are just divine.

Lastly, in case lace just isn’t your thing, be sure to check out the winter edition of Twirl Magazine featuring even more sophisticated Ceci New York invitations.
