There’s something especially exciting about modern architecture right now. It’s fresh. It’s thought-provoking. And it can make you feel like you’re stepping directly into the future.

To see how thrilling it can be to capture that essence at a party, look no further than the invitations we designed for Katherine and Robert’s wedding, held at the Modern Wing of the Art Institute of Chicago. Inspired by the building’s geometric beauty and Chicago's famous skyline, the minimalist invite let guests know not to expect an ordinary evening. From the look of their wedding photos – check out their guests dancing on the museum’s terrace with a unique art installation as a backdrop – it was obviously true.

For more modern cool – think miminalist metallics – see this week’s Get the Look. Plus, see how confectionery artist Mary Winslow of Cake took elements from our invitation to create a wedding cake that only added to the architectural ambiance. You're invited – to be bold and go modern!
